Buying
You reserve a product during a campaign. Your card is authorised when you place the order. You are charged only if the campaign goes ahead, and the seller then prepares your order, sends access, or confirms your booking. If it doesn’t go ahead, your hold is released.
A seller sets a product, price, and target quantity. The campaign runs for a set period. If enough people order before the deadline, the campaign succeeds and everyone is charged. If not, all holds are released.
Live Drops are limited-stock, first-come-first-served sales. Unlike pre-order campaigns, stock is limited and payment is captured immediately. There’s no target to reach — when it’s gone, it’s gone.
Your card is authorised when you place the order. You are only charged if the campaign goes ahead. If the target is reached quickly, this can happen the same day. For Live Drops, payment is taken immediately when you place your order.
If the campaign cannot go ahead, your card hold is released and you are not charged. This typically takes 3–5 business days depending on your bank. In some cases, if enough orders are placed, the seller may choose to continue with the campaign.
Your bank may show a temporary pending payment, similar to a hotel card hold. Banks can keep an authorisation visible for a few days after Preorda releases it — this is normal. If a campaign doesn’t go ahead, the hold is released and should disappear depending on your bank’s timing.
Some campaigns may enter a short continuation or seller decision period. This gives the seller a chance to continue, extend, or proceed if enough demand exists. If the campaign does not proceed, buyer holds are released.
Before ordering, use “Ask seller a question” on the campaign page. After ordering, open your Preorda order and message the seller from there. For platform issues, email support@preorda.com.
For pre-order campaigns: if the campaign hasn’t succeeded yet, you can cancel from your orders page. Once payment is captured, cancellation is handled by the seller. For Live Drops, cancellation and refund availability depends on the seller’s policy and the order status.
Refunds are processed by the seller and usually take 5–10 business days. If you need to ask about a refund, open your Preorda order and message the seller.
If payment cannot be captured when a campaign succeeds, the order may require action or may not complete. Check your order page and email for updates.
When a campaign or product isn’t live yet, you can join the waitlist. You’ll be notified when it launches so you can be first to order.
Following a seller means you’ll receive updates when they launch new campaigns or send announcements. You can unfollow at any time.
Selling
Sign up, connect your Stripe account, and create your first campaign. You set your own product, price, target quantity, and campaign duration.
Pre-order campaigns have a target quantity — buyers reserve and are only charged if the campaign goes ahead. Live Drops have limited stock and charge buyers immediately. You choose the mode when creating a campaign.
When your campaign succeeds and payments are captured, funds are available in your Stripe account minus the Preorda platform fee and Stripe processing fees.
Sellers pay a 5% platform fee on successful orders only. Stripe processing fees are separate from Preorda's platform fee and are charged by Stripe directly.
If the campaign doesn’t go ahead, buyer holds are released and no order payments are captured. You can relaunch or adjust your campaign. See the rescue/continuation FAQ below — in some cases you may choose to proceed if enough orders have been placed.
If a campaign reaches enough demand but misses the full target, it may enter a continuation or seller decision state. Depending on the campaign settings and demand level, you may be able to continue, extend, or proceed. If you do not proceed, the campaign fails and buyer holds are released.
Yes, from your seller dashboard. Buyer holds will be released where payment has not been captured. If payments have already been captured, refunds and customer communication are your responsibility.
Bounties let you offer commission to people who share your campaign. You set the commission percentage. Promoters claim the bounty, get a share link, and earn commission on qualifying orders they drive.
Yes. If a commission looks wrong or should not be paid, you can dispute eligible commissions from your seller bounty tools. Admin review determines whether the commission becomes payable or is voided.
Waitlists let you gauge interest before launching a campaign. People sign up and get notified when you launch. You can see how many are interested before committing.
Buyers and visitors can follow your shop. You can send announcements to your followers about new campaigns, restocks, or updates.
From your seller dashboard. You can send orders and add tracking, mark collections, send access for digital products, and manage bookings — depending on the campaign type. Order lists can be exported from the same place.
Promoting
A bounty is a commission offer on a campaign. You claim it, get a unique share link, and earn commission on qualifying orders placed through your link.
Share your link. When someone orders through it and the campaign succeeds, you earn the commission percentage set by the seller.
Commission becomes payable after the campaign succeeds and the hold period passes. You need to set up secure payouts through your promoter dashboard before receiving money.
No. You can claim bounties and share links without setting up payouts. Payout setup is only required before receiving money.
No. Payouts are handled securely through Preorda. Sellers never see your payment information.
Share links, short links, QR codes, suggested captions, social share buttons, and embeddable campaign widgets. All accessible from your promoter dashboard.
If the campaign doesn’t reach its target, no orders are charged and no commission is earned.
A seller may dispute an eligible commission. If that happens, the commission is reviewed. It may become payable or be voided depending on the outcome.
Go to your promoter payouts page. It shows owed, payable, paid, and optional voided commission records.
Notifications
You may receive emails about orders, campaigns, waitlists, seller updates, follower announcements, bounty activity, payout setup, or account security.
Use the unsubscribe link in the email if one is provided, or manage following/unfollowing from your account area. Unfollowing a seller stops future follower announcements from that seller.
Use the unsubscribe link in the waitlist email where available, or leave the waitlist from your account if that option is shown.
Promoter and bounty messages may include unsubscribe controls. Important payout, dispute, or account-security emails may still be sent when needed.
No. Transactional emails about orders, payments, refunds, dispatch, account access, or legal/security matters are required so you know what is happening with your purchase or account.
Email support@preorda.com from the email address on your account. Some records may need to be retained for legal, fraud prevention, tax, or transaction history reasons.
Platform
Free for buyers and promoters. Sellers pay a 5% platform fee on successful orders only.
All payments are processed through Stripe. Card details are never stored on Preorda’s servers.
The seller is the merchant of record. Payments are processed through the seller’s connected Stripe account. Preorda provides the platform and may collect platform fees.
Buyer payments are processed through Stripe. For pre-order campaigns, cards are authorised first and only captured if the campaign succeeds.
No. Promoters are independent users who choose to share campaigns. Commission is not guaranteed and depends on qualifying orders and campaign success.
